The colours and cultures of Asia provide the inspiration for this collection of Eliz's distinctive individual creations
My
apologies this website is closed until September 2010 due to my
traveling.
Jetsunma
Tenzin Palmo has just left me here in Singapore after some much needed quiet time and rest, she
is now returning to our wonderful nuns
at our DGL Nunnery.
Jetsunma
had previously been on a visit to Australia consisted of giving teachings and
taking part in Conferences where she was made so welcome, it also allowed some
time to meet up with dear Monica.
The
DGL nuns are busy this week as tomorrow is Vaisakha
and the nuns start their first exam in the morning set by our wonderful Khenpo Ngawang. the nuns will then in the afternoon do Sojong (monastic confession ceremony)
and then a 3 hour puja to Shakyamuni Buddha and the 16 Arhats.
As it is 40° there in India at the nunnery and of course no A/C even the
breeze is hot. A few of the older nuns will
be very happy to escape to their mountain homes after their week
of exams for a short visit soon and hopefully the monsoons will have started by
the time they return.
In the meantime Jetsunma will settle to the job of reading through mountains
of transcripts for a new book due to be published later this year.
Please
return later this year and I promise many new designs when the web pages open
again, this is small and a simple way to help our nunnery as all profits act as
your personal donation.
